Agenda Item:
Tonight's agenda should include cross examination of Roseland's Fiscal Impact Experts by
James Segreto. This will be an important cross-exam and promises to be very
controversial. Mayor Turner has always preached that "we need the
ratables." Surprisingly, Roseland's original FIS(fiscal impact statement)
authored by their own experts concluded the net gain to the town was negligible. To no
one's surprise, Roseland submitted an updated FIS date on 12/30/99. This time the
revisions yielded a favorable result to the developer and allows the Mayor to claim we
have the ratables. The assumptions behind this amazing change will be subject to
close scrutiny.
Your attendance at this hearing is crucial. We need to show the town we want something much better than what
