Two Big meetings coming up.         Posted Sept. 9, 1999

There are two big meetings coming up next week(Sept 15&16, 1999). The public is invited to attend.
Please tell as many friends and neighbors as possible.

If you are not sure if you can commit the time, remember the only thing necessary for schlock development to reign is for concerned citizens to do nothing.

  1. Friends of the Weehawken Waterfront is sponsoring a public planning workshop to work on the Community Plan. This is a plan for the Weehawken Waterfront that was created with the help of architect and urban planner Craig Whitaker. It is very important to us to get a broad based consensus on the Community Plan. We welcome your input. This meeting is an opportunity for all Weehawken residents to comment on your preferences for waterfront development. Craig will listen to your comments and make refinements to the plan.

Some of the major themes of the Community Plan are preservation of all views from Blvd East, a continuous public park along the waterfront, maintain Weehawken's neighborhood look and feel, minimize traffic congestion.

    When: Wednesday September 15th, 1999 7:30 PM
